ELDERS AND MOTHERS OF ZION – INTIMACY

Coming at such a time as this in our preparation into becoming ‘disciples makers’, I believe the single most important thing that we have to do is break through to a closeness in our relationship with the Lord at a level of intimacy that puts us in the state of ‘shine’, just as Moses shone after his intimate visits with the Lord!
The church has not spent as much time in seeking the Lord as they have in debating His word and preaching the results of their findings. So alas the reality of being received in our transition into eternity with the words “I do not know you” from our Savior, are quite real!

Those that have actually sought and found the Lord through out the history of the Bible have moved beyond their realm of familiarity, even to the extent of pitching a tent out of the camp like Moses, to find the Lord of the universe, as they have realized that this is the most important issue to get right, as all else will follow, after all God is everything!

There has to be a place and a frequent time that we set aside to give ourselves to this seeking for Him, so He can allow Himself to be found, a perseverance, a longing, and a desire so strong that all else fades until this ache is quenched, it has to be done with ALL OUR HEART, so He can reveal the level of intimacy that He made us for, in Him!

Debating the Bible, the book of personal encounters man has experienced with God, develops our perspectives and is the first step towards entering the presence of the Lord, a map if you will of the path to God, so we can take the journey without getting lost, but maturity leads beyond looking at the glass in the window and enables us to see the view beyond which is fact the fantastic journey of faithfulness!

Now down to real life issues and while meditating in the ‘tent away from the camp’ distractions will come in, wondering thoughts, drowsiness and sleep, the urge to do something else instead of being with Him!
Well you can rest assured that you are going to go through another very important test, the Lord will see you seeking, and allow the enemies mind pilfering arrows through, to see if we will press on to really want to be with Him, and continue to fervently seek to ‘be’ in His presence. We must realize that He is always with us, as He says He will never leave or forsake us, but the question is, is He going to show Himself yet or not?

To find His ‘Dwelling Place’ the place of ‘more’ the nearness that produces the only ‘good’ in us, the ‘knowing’ to walk past answered prayer, past revelation to see and hear His will precisely, we have to come seeking, expecting to see God’s glory today, with all of the pure heart he has given us!

Your Word says Lord that transformation is necessary, a transformation will have to be of the mind as You have replace our heart with one of flesh on request, so it is a seeking attitude and a patient waiting until the Creator, Master and God above all shows Himself and calls us by our name!

The ‘more’ that we need cries out from the depth of our souls past the colors of the flesh and the guise that blinds us to mediocrity, but do not fear our Lord and Savior is ever near, this He promises even up to the end of the age!
So take to Him the distractions, wondering thoughts, drowsiness and sleep and the urge to do something else, for He already knows all of these things in us, after all He is God, and He wishes to commune with us more than we do with Him!

So seek, but relax, we cannot do it on our own, none of our journey has been waged alone, it has always been the steady loving hand of the Holy Spirit that that caressed us into place, so relax He wants to show Himself, fear not He says, by simply asking He will divulge the cause of any separation, and the sentiments of any frustration, and truly He has given us the gift of gifts, this one of repentance, all we have to do is take hold and confess, to breach any chasm!
Mind though, that we examine our heart and have pure desire to renounce our separation as we repent, don’t think that we can get away with the ‘Cain sacrifice’ and act with a fallen countenance, this is the Lover of our souls that sees into the depth of our heart to a place beyond what we can see ourselves, this is the truth of His love, the brilliance of grace, the dearest price that was ever paid to enable us to repent and receive absolution!

When looking for the Lord we have to pay attention, look for Him in all things and in all earnestly through the eyes and ears of our spirit in the Holy Spirit; as you see and hear Him more and more in every situation the depth of our passion will develop; we will start consulting Him in more and more issues, seeking and hearing His direction eventually in all things we will form a consistent union; this in essence is having communion with God, abiding constantly and this closeness will grow Godly love in us from the relationship; we will receive understanding of His heart and mind and know our own from this; to obtain intimacy with God is the prize!
